Anyone who thinks hiring a car means making do with a bland hatchback devoid of kudos, prepare to be not only surprised but spoiled for choice by Enterprise Rent-A-Car’s “exotic” collection. Augmented with new additions just last week, available models now range from examples of BMW’s high-performance M series to Rolls-Royce’s majestic Ghost.
Entry-level cars such as BMW’s 4 Series M Sport are available from as little as £100 per day, with prices rising to £2,700 for a weekend day’s hire of a Ferrari 458 Spider, or £1,000 per day for a Lamborghini Huracán capable of 200mph. An Aston Martin DB11, meanwhile, will set you back £750 for a weekend day or £4,550 per week, while Jaguar’s F-Type sports coupé starts from £180 for 24 hours. High-performance SUVs are also available, as well as Tesla’s all-electric Model S super saloon.
In addition to appealing to people who simply want the use of an interesting, exciting car without the burden of ownership, the Enterprise Exotic Car Collection is aimed at renters looking for standout vehicles for use on special occasions such as birthdays, VIP visits and corporate events.
Due to the high value of the cars and the high performance that many of them are capable of, the exotic range is only available to drivers aged 30-plus – and deposits and insurance excesses tend to be rather higher than for more regular rentals. To secure the Huracán, for example, a prospective hirer would need to lay down an £8,000 deposit and be prepared to stump up a £10,000 excess in the event of an accident, while the Rolls-Royce Ghost calls for a £15,000 deposit and £15,000 excess.
The Exotic fleet is split between Enterprise’s Heathrow and Park Lane locations, and the cars can be delivered to the hirer and collected again on the back of a liveried transporter for an additional fee.
