For crescent moons of sand with no one else’s footprints, Turkey always works, especially in the southern reaches of the so-called Turquoise Coast. Sailing out of Bodrum this summer is a host of new gulets to charter, represented by Sea Song (www.seasong.com), a top-drawer specialist travel outfitter founded by American-born Karen Fedorko Sefer. Chief among the lures is the 42m-long, 12-person Carpe Diem V (from $39,200 per week), with bathrooms that could compete with a Four Seasons. Also on Sefer’s agenda is Vault Karaköy, The House Hotel (www.thehousehotel.com; from $295), a new 63-room, eight-suite hotel for Istanbul that occupies a former bank close to the spice bazaar and overlooks the Golden Horn.
