With a private collection of more than 9,000 pieces of vintage couture and ready to wear (and growing), Charlotte Smith is in a unique position to offer a remarkable insight into the history of fashion. This summer, she is hosting a UK-wide odyssey of museums, palaces and historic houses for like-minded fashion connoisseurs. Kensington Palace, the Whitworth, Althorp House and Greenway (Agatha Christie’s house) are some of the tour highlights.
Guests will stay in four- and five-star country-house hotels – including Bovey Castle – and dine at award-winning restaurants, with exclusive behind-the-scenes access and fashion experts joining as guest speakers along the way.
The unique 20-day experience begins in Smith’s hometown of Sydney on August 2, travelling to the UK via Doha (priced A$15,990 – about £8,600 – per person sharing). European guests are invited to join the UK tour on August 4, when it reaches London. Prices start from about £7,000 per person.
