In celebration of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Windsor Castle nuptials on May 19, The Kensington hotel is hosting a series of Royal-Inspired Masterclasses leading up to the couple’s big day. Three 90-minute evening classes each begin with champagne and canapés, then focus on either hosting the perfect dinner party, finessing calligraphy correspondence, or fit-for-royalty trends in interior design. The classes will take place in the London hotel’s chic Town House restaurant, a few minutes away from the couple’s home of Kensington Palace.
The first class, on April 11, is The Hostess With The Mostess (£84.43), led by The Social Kitchen’s Dani Tucker, chef, author and supper club host. Tucker will enlighten guests on the guests on the art of crafting the perfect dinner party menu, plus new trends in table and floral arrangements. Tucker will also share her fail-proof roast chicken recipe – a nod to when the prince popped the question to Markle while they were roasting a chicken.
Jane Rockett and Lucy St George of online interiors boutique Rockett St George, and floral stylist Hannah Agnes Antmann of Saint Floral, will host Furnish Your Palace (£37.27) on April 16. The focus will be on new interiors trends, harmonious colour palettes, and experimental floral arrangements.
Completing the triple crown is Write Like A Royal on May 9 (£52.99), a masterclass on the art of calligraphy, with Suzie Dicker, founder of bespoke stationery company A L’Aise. Calligraphy was a skill Meghan Markle used to help her pay her way through university, and guests will learn to hone their own skills.
