If you’ve ever dreamt of taking a leaf out of James Bond’s action-packed book while on holiday in the mountains, one alpine outfitter is now offering the chance to do just that in Verbier, Switzerland. Above & Beyond Verbier has a new package, From Verbier With Love, featuring the kind of high-octane activities that would do the British spy proud, including stunt skiing, skydiving, special-weapons shooting and flying a helicopter.

The experiences (packages from Sfr300, about £235) are divided into four categories, catering to individual skill and fitness levels, and can be combined and interchanged as the mission requires. Licence to Ski, for example, offers heli-skiing days or freeride and freestyle stunt skiing lessons, but can be ramped up with the more daredevil adventures in the Goldflying package. These include scenic paragliding, tandem skydiving or learning to fly a Robinson R22 helicopter – which made a cameo in GoldenEye.

The Spy Who X Me includes ski training to protect clients on the mountain and a special-weapons shooting experience. And for those seeking the complete Bond experience, A View to a Thrill is the end-to-end option. Private jet flights and transfers to nearby Sion Airport can be arranged, as can staying in the chalet where Roger Moore holidayed. Luxury highlights include test driving an Aston Martin, and a caviar and vodka tasting, rounded off with head-torch tobogganing and a traditional dog sled trip. Go on, you only live once.
