Raffles’ Le Royal Monceau, the five-star Parisian hotel recently refurbished by Philippe Starck, is already a choice destination for art fans, with its own private art gallery, collection and art bookstore, a 99-seat cinema and an “art concierge” who tips guests off on happening local events.
Upping its art game even further, the hotel has just joined forces with the exhibitions whizzes at the nearby Grand Palais on the Champs-Elysées to offer an exclusive VIP package to art lovers (from €5,500). Guests will be given insider access and private tours of shows, as well as lunch at the museum at times when it is closed to the public.
Current exhibitions include an exhibition of Tintin comic strips (until January 15) by Georges Remi, otherwise known as Hergé; and Mexique (until January 23), the largest exhibition of 20th-century Mexican art to be held worldwide since 1953, featuring artists such as Diego Rivera, Frida Kahlo and Rufino Tamayo.
The package includes accommodation in a prestige suite for a minimum of two nights, private access to the Grand Palais on Tuesdays and an exclusive lunch there, car transfers, plus two Clarins massages at the spa.
