Ultra-stylish yacht charters for Italy’s islands and the Balearics

Leonardo Ferragamo may be chief executive of Palazzo Feroni Finanziaria SpA, the holding company for his family’s various business interests, and president of the philanthropic Associazione Partners Palazzo Strozzi, but what he really loves to do is sail. It’s why, in 1998, he acquired Nautor’s Swan, the Finnish maker of ultra-elegant sailing yachts; and why he recently launched a small portfolio of Swan charter yachts as an adjunct to his Lungarno Collection of luxury hotels and apartments.

All four are pretty gorgeous, but arguably the most impressive is Solleone(www.lungarnocollection.com; from £45,000 per week; pictured), Ferragamo’s own private 35m Swan, for which he commissioned Michele Bönan, the genius designer behind his Portrait hotels in Rome and Florence, to fit out the interior. Take your pick of summer 2016 and 2017 itineraries: the Tuscan Archipelago, Sardinia, the Balearics or Sicily’s Aeolian Islands.
