Stuart Vevers’ first men’s collection for Coach

Rugged jackets and coats are a design nod to the Kennedys and Beastie Boys

Having honed his design skills at Mulberry, Loewe and Bottega Veneta, Yorkshireman Stuart Vevers knows his way round both luxury and animal hides, and his first men’s collection for New York lifestyle brand Coach was a highlight of London Collections: Men. Vevers presented workwear coats in thick, rugged shearlings – from an oversized military-look car coat (£2,100) to a black leather jean-style jacket (£950) – drawing upon American culture for inspiration, including the Kennedys and the Beastie Boys. My favourites include a Track jacket (£1,900), motorcycle coat (£2,350) and cracked, black shearling B3 flight jackets (£1,900, pictured) with reverse details where construction can be seen on the outside.
