Jonathan Saunders, fashion designer I go to Golden Scissors, a Turkish barbers in Stoke Newington. I love having the full works, with the steamed hot towels and the flame they waft to burn off the hair around your ears. It’s always a brilliant experience: you come out feeling so clean. 58 Stoke Newington Road, London N16 (020-7241 1305; goldenbarbers.com).

Trevor Pickett, purveyor of leather goods Daniel Pierpoint cuts my hair. I’m not really into massages, but when he cuts my hair it’s that kind of bliss. I sort of drift off and I feel totally relaxed. 11 Archer Street, London W1 (020-7851 7471; pierpointhairdressing.com).

Dean Gomilsek Cole, head of design, Turnball & Asser I’m a fan of Murdock London barbers, in Shoreditch, for haircuts and beard trims; I like the service and their own-brand products. I also go to Jack the Clipper in Shepherd Market in Mayfair for a trim – I like the hot-towel action and you get a little massage. Jack the Clipper, 5 Shepherd Market, London W1 (020-3602 2427; jacktheclipper.co.uk). Murdock London, 46 Redchurch Street, London E2 (020-3393 7946; murdocklondon.com).

Hakan Rosenius, artistic director, Asprey Ciaran at Stannard & Slingsby cuts my hair once a month – he knows exactly how to maintain my style and keeps the conversation light. Stannard & Slingsby, 211‑213 Kensington High Street, London W8 (020-7937 0333; stannardandslingsby.com).

Nicky Haslam, interior designer I rely on Derek Hutchins at Me, who has cut my hair for decades. If I cut one hair with a pair of nail scissors, he knows straight away. Me, 10 Abingdon Road, London W8 (020-7937 9977).

Michael Hill, creative director, Drake’s My barber of choice is John’s Hairstyling for Men, which is just around the corner from the office – haircuts come with tea and toast. John’s Hairstyling for Men, 63 Nile Street, London N1 (020-7251 8023).

Simon Mottram, founder of Rapha I’ve been going to Charlie’s barbershop in Camden for many years. Charlie is great at traditional, sharp men’s cuts and manages to get the best out of my thinning hair. Charlie’s, 3 Camden High Street, London NW1 (020-7380 1116).

Nicholas Kirkwood, fashion designer Michael Charalambous at Nyumba has cut my hair for ages – he used to be next to our store on Mount Street; he’s really good but also really fun. Nyumba, 1 Sloane Square, London SW1W (020-7408 1489; nyumbasalon.com).
