Last year, London glasses maker Cubitts began a series of artist-in-residence collaborations to create lens cloths, the latest of which is with Brian Grimwood, the celebrated British illustrator who rose to prominence in the 1960s and whose fluid drawings have since graced book jackets, magazine covers, stamps, opera posters and whisky bottles. This portrait is one of a collection of three and depicts bespectacled biographer and Bloomsbury Group founding member Lytton Strachey.
