The striking hillside town of Positano, overlooking the Amalfi Coast, will set the scene for de-stressing and detoxing at Le Sirenuse hotel next year. For one week only – from March 15 to 21 – guests can check in for the Dolce Vitality by Le Sirenuse retreat, where mind and body are honed through hiking, yoga, meditation and massage. Gennaro Russo, chef at the hotel’s Michelin-starred La Sponda restaurant, has crafted a vegan menu for the events, offering a culinary experience with optimal nutritional benefits.
The hotel will host just 20 guests at each retreat ($6,000 per person), who will start the day with a hike along the island’s ancient footpaths – passing lemon groves and churches as they traverse the terrain. Other classes are set to include yoga, stretching and resistance work, weight training and core strengthening – all followed by customised deep tissue massages designed to restore the mind-body balance.
The groups will be supported by noted wellness experts, including yoga instructor Elena Brower, physician Dr Paolo Toniolo and health coach Valentina Dolci, who will devise personal plans for attendees that can be implemented in their lives when they return home.
