Camilla Fayed’s fashionable Notting Hill hotspot Farmacy is bringing an injection of supercharged health and vitality to Selfridges this month in the form of a plant-shot pop-up bar aimed at kickstarting New Year detox regimes, and which is part of the department store’s 2018 #EatHappy campaign.
From January 8 to February 15, the Shot Bar will offer six tinctures and drinks (£6 each), mixing superfoods and botanical ingredients, that are available in a series of syringes designed to be injected into shot glasses. The Healthridges shot, exclusive to Selfridges, is filled with colloidal silver, oregano oil, black seed oil, wild harvested blue-green algae and orange flower water, and is intended to boost immunity.
Other drinks include the OMG, a concentrated fusion of fresh grapefruit juice, flaxseed oil and cannabidiol hemp oil, which has natural anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving properties and boosts cell rejuvenation; and the Beautify, a tonic for the skin that’s intended to improve elasticity and skin tone, with aloe vera leaf, schisandra berry, wolfberry powder and bamboo silica.
“At Farmacy our mission is to promote plant-based, organic eating and drinking, while also having fun,” says Fayed. “We believe in the ancient philosophy that ‘food is medicine’. As such, we have ensured that every shot is perfectly balanced and in no way diluted, so that guests to the bar are able to enjoy not only the powerful flavours of the remedies but also benefit from as much of the natural goodness and nutrients as possible.”
