The five-star Hotel George V in Paris has created an experience for guests offering behind-the-scenes access to the historic Petrossian Caviar House (€1,760 for two people). Attendees will be taken by vintage sidecar, past the picturesque Place de la Concorde, the Jardin des Tuileries and the iconic Louvre pyramid, to the Petrossian laboratory in the 18th arrondissement of the city for a personalised tour and a tasting session with members of the family, set to include Armen and Mickael Petrossian. The brand, founded by Armenian brothers Melkoum and Mouchegh in 1920, is widely considered “the first family of caviar”.

Guests will taste several varieties of the delicacy, including the Special Reserve Ossetra, Tsar Imperial Ossetra, legendary Beluga caviar, classic Baika variety and the Daurenki. As a parting gift, visitors will receive a 125g tin of Tsar Imperial Ossetra caviar produced from Ossetra sturgeon, before being returned to the hotel by a luxury car.
