The luxury ski experience gets kicked up a notch this season with the launch of Flying Chefs, a new in-chalet gourmet offering courtesy of travel specialist Scott Dunn. From December 15, guests at an assortment of French and Austrian chalets can choose to have one of the world’s finest chefs jet in for an afternoon or evening of fine dining and wine pairings – plus the ultimate one-on-one culinary encounter.

The gourmet lunches and dinners can be prepared for between eight and 12 people

Among the chefs on the menu will be Mere’s Monica Galetti; Pierre Koffmann, formerly of the three-Michelin-starred La Tante Claire; Alyn Williams of his eponymous restaurant at The Westbury; Andrew Wong of Chinese restaurant A Wong; Sat Bains of his eponymous two-Michelin-starred Nottingham restaurant; and Mauro Colagreco of two-Michelin-starred Mirazur on the Côte d’Azur.

Either lunch or dinner can be booked in advance for between eight and 12 guests (from £14,000). After a long day spent on the piste, can there be a better après ski mega-indulgence than a bespoke, multicourse feast in the comfort of your mountainside home away from home?
