Is it ever too early to start on the cocktails? Apparently not, according to Grey Goose, which is hosting a special, breakfast-and-mixology masterclass (£80) on March 13 to celebrate the unveiling of the new-look Fifth Floor Bar at Harvey Nichols, created in partnership with Grey Goose.
Taking its inspiration from the French wheat used to make this luxury vodka, the event will begin with a continental breakfast featuring bread made of the very same grain, accompanied by an effervescent Grey Goose Le Fizz cocktail blended from Grey Goose vodka, lime, elderflower and soda. After being fed and watered, guests will enjoy a cocktail masterclass under the guidance of Grey Goose ambassador Myles Donneky, culminating in the creation of their own, signature drink. A two-course lunch furnished with another Grey Goose cocktail will then bring proceedings to a close.
Guests at the masterclass will also be among the first to see the newly furnished bar, which takes its cue from “classic French luxury”, marrying leather, brass, marble and dark wood, with red, white and blue accents in a nod to Grey Goose’s French provenance. The new cocktail list features a special range of twists on the Grey Goose Le Fizz, including the Grey Goose Harvey Nichols Fizz made with Grey Goose Le Citron, lemon, rosemary syrup and champagne, and the Grey Goose French Flower, made with vodka, elderflower, lemon and champagne, finished with a dash of Crème de violette.
