Lalique sculptures support Elton John Aids Foundation

The special pieces feature a crystal winged angel and two hearts

“We wanted to create beautiful pieces that speak to the high standards of Lalique,” says Elton John of a set of sculptures made to raise money for his Aids foundation. The two hearts – in clear crystal (£800, edition of 999) and red crystal (£1,200, edition of 499) – and a clear-crystal winged angel (£1,200, edition of 999) were designed in collaboration with Lalique creative director Marc Larminaux, with 10 per cent of the sale price going to the Elton John Aids Foundation (EJAF).

“I have met so many people with enormous hearts who devote their lives to others,“ says John, “and I hope this collection serves as a powerful reminder of our need to work together to solve global challenges like Aids.” Four further Lalique sculptures, each signed by John, will be auctioned by Paddle8 during the 2016 Academy Awards, with all proceeds going to EJAF.
