In 2014, having finished treatment for breast cancer, the collector Belinda Gray set up Art for Cure, a painting and sculpture sale to raise money for breast cancer research. She hosted the first show in her Georgian home, but it has since grown like Topsy and this summer, for the second time, the event will be hosted by Glemham Hall in Suffolk. Among the artists whose work will be on sale are Maggi Hambling, Henrietta Dubrey and Carol Peace – there will also be one-off and limited-edition prints from the estate of the photographer Brian Duffy. Fifty per cent of the sale price of each painting and 30 per cent of each sculpture will go to Breast Cancer Now and a range of Suffolk breast cancer charities covering a new wig service, beauty workshops, counselling and support for nutrition, diet and exercise. Entry is by donation and it runs from May 5-7, with a private view (£25) on May 4.
