The fast-approaching winter festivities should be all the merrier as The SIL launches its first capsule collection for the iconic Beverly Hills Hotel at a pop-up opening its doors on Wednesday November 14 and running until Monday December 31.
The hotel worked closely with The SIL founder Natalie Bloomingdale and her stable of independent fashion designers – who hail from Paris, New York and Dallas, Texas – to create a cool mix of ready-to-wear separates and accessories capturing the spirit of the LA haunt. Several designers highlight the hotel’s famous pink and green colour palette, including Jane Pendry of Dovima Paris, who has designed a tweed Lori cardigan jacket ($1,195) lined in silk tulle; a dramatic, full-length taffeta Aria skirt ($1,395) in a vibrant “begonia” shade; short-sleeved silk shirtdresses ($1,420); and a long-sleeve Darby blouse ($660) with a sharp silhouette. Dallas designer Tish Cox’s Barbara top ($595), meanwhile, comes in rich-green corduroy with a pink and cream satin trim, which can be teamed with matching Bermuda-length shorts ($495).
New York-based Molly Moorkamp – a former designer for Ralph Lauren – turns up the Beverly Hills glamour to the max with a flowing gold-lamé kaftan ($2,200) embellished with a hand-beaded neckline, while the accessories add a final flattering touch to the entire ensemble, from Hayden Lasher’s dainty Elle handbag ($1,500) in textural rose-hued leather to Cassandra King Polidori’s bold Natalie earrings ($395), crafted in 14ct gold with freshwater pearls and emerald grosgrain bows.
