It’s a significant month forRolex fans, as the long-awaited updated Cosmograph Daytona (£8,250, pictured) is out. The cult steel chronograph – with 40mm case and three sub-dials – now has a black ceramic bezel engraved with platinum-coated numerals that are polished until the tachymeter markings are revealed, and a black or white dial. But for those, like me, who can’t face the inevitable waiting list, the new bicolour Datejust (£8,450) has just been released. I’ve got my eye on the 41mm model in 18ct gold and steel with classic gold-fluted bezel, matching yellow sunburst dial and Jubilee strap.
