This summer will see Bill Peach’s inaugural itinerary outside Australia (www.billpeachjourneys.com.au). Peach pioneered “luxury air-cruising” in his home country, where private charters are a sensible way to traverse the outback. In September, Peach breaks out of his Pacific turf with his trusty Embraer 135LR – a private jet, carrying a maximum of 34 passengers – in a new tour, Passage Through Ancient Cultures. This 17-night trip costs from £19,883 per person (inclusive of hotels and all meals) and winds its way from London to Sydney by way of Dubrovnik, the Nile (pictured) and Taj Mahal, finishing with some low‑level flying over the Gibson Desert. Departure from London is on September 23.
