InnoVision 2: The Constant Escapement is becoming a new standard in our industry. In a few words, it allows a constant amplitude of the balance wheel, for a better accuracy for the movement during the entire cycle of the power reserve. Innovision 2 combines a Dual escapement and a Ulysse Anchor (a flying anchor in silicium). The flying anchor is made with direct silicium bonding – a fabrication process improvement that allows complex structures for a material that has become key for Ulysse Nardin since the presentation of InnoVision 1.

The balance wheel is the beating heart of a movement. The construction of this strategic component has been entirely revisited by the engineers and watchmakers of the Manufacture in order to reduce its weight without loss in performance. This has been made possible by the combination of the lightness of silicium with solid gold elements and very distinctive and efficient paddle-shaped regulator levers.

Grinder is the result of a radical redesign of the common automatic winding system. How to define the Grinder in a short formula? Like for a sailing boat, a Grinder is an energy-conversion system. The objective is to allow an optimisation of the transmission through the flexibility of the material and the kinetic of the system. Four levers (instead of two for a traditional rotor) and a continuous movement of translation will bring double efficiency. A classic design for shock absorber in a mechanical watch comprises a total of five micro elements working together. This association of elements naturally brings friction. And watchmakers do not like frictions!
