For those who want to hot desk it in the morning and chug on a cigar in the evening, a new office space and business club is opening in the heart of Mayfair. 12 Hay Hill, set on the corner of Berkeley Square, will open an office space on April 1, offering desks and administrative staff at a cost of £1,100 per desk per month, allowing members to have a top-notch address without the expense of a full office. The members’ club will start at £150 a month and allows guests access to a ground-floor bar and lounge (with hot-desking space), gym, cigar terrace, meeting rooms and restaurant.
Running the club is chief executive Simon Robinson, who served as the crown equerry at Buckingham Palace and was instrumental in organising the wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. Michelin-starred chef Shaun Rankin will take the helm of the restaurant, serving dishes inspired by Jersey produce, while Julien Marinozzi, former operations director at Sketch, competes a hat trick of stellar staff.
“12 Hay Hill aims to take business clubs to a new level. Where else in London could an office have access to a restaurant run by a Michelin-starred chef and a balcony overlooking Berkeley Square, all for the same price as a dull, grey serviced office down the road?”, says Robinson.
“We absolutely believe that the office environment has changed and the previously defined line between business and pleasure has now gone. People don’t want stale, airport lounge-style space. They want somewhere to work, play, entertain and socialise all in one place.” Membership is now open – but it’s limited…
