Marylebone, London, is hardly short of stardust these days, with the recent opening of André Balazs’ Chiltern Firehouse. And the neighbourhood is set to get another heavy hitter in the form of the Russell Sage-designed Zetter Townhouse (www.thezettertownhouse.com; from £258). The standout space in this 24-room hotel is the rooftop apartment, complete with a large terrace and alfresco roll-top bath. It’s a worthy competitor for the rooftop hot tub at The Hamilton Penthouse in the Corinthia Hotel (www.corinthia.com; from £456, pictured). Here, the ESPA Life spa is now partnering with the Austria-based Viva Centre for Modern Mayr Medicine. Doctors Harald and Christine Stossier, both from the Mayr, have introduced applied-kinesiology diagnosis and vitamin-supplementation programmes, which will bump up the medical side of this already-serious wellness destination.
