For recreational golfers who’d like to brush up on their swing while enjoying Provençal luxury and comforts, the Terre Blanche Hotel, Spa and Golf Resort is offering an enticing package this autumn. The five-star resort, situated in peaceful countryside about a 45-minute drive from Nice Côte d’Azur airport, is running a special two-day course under the tutelage of world-renowned coach David Leadbetter (second picture), whose professional clients have included such celebrated championship winners as Nick Faldo, Greg Norman and Ernie Els.
Instruction will begin on the driving range and will incorporate Terre Blanche’s state-of-the-art Biomecaswing Analysis, a biomechanical assessment of posture, mobility, balance and all the key components – athletic and technological – that can make and shape a swing.
As well as trying out Terre Blanche’s two 18-hole golf courses (Le Riou in first picture), guests can savour the spa, swimming pool and grounds (the estate once belonged to Sean Connery), which are adorned with olive trees, lavender, rosemary and thyme. The two-day trip, on September 22 and 23, costs from €4,200 per person and includes the golf clinic and a final progress report, alongside welcome gifts, breakfast, lunch with Leadbetter at the hotel’s Les Caroubiers restaurant, and a cocktail-party reception. Tickets are limited and going fast. Swing into action now.
