Sleeping in the wilds is at the heart of trips organised by The Cycling House (www.thecyclinghouse.com), founded in 2005 by some professional cyclists and triathletes from Montana seeking somewhere to train in the winter. The company has now evolved, hosting endurance athletes of all levels, from road racers looking to upgrade a category to triathletes trying to complete their first Ironman. For 2014, The Cycling House is offering over 25 weeks of camps in Tucson, Montana (road and mountain bike camps), Tuscany and Mallorca. The week-long Montana camp, which features professionally guided rides, high-end mountain-lodge accommodations and chef-prepared meals, costs $1,795 per person, excluding flights.
