In Gloucestershire this month, Carole Bamford of Daylesford Organic (known for her farm shop’s Legbar hens’ blue eggs and her style-glitterati-frequented Hay Barn yoga studio) opens The Wild Rabbit(www.thewildrabbit.co.uk; from £100) with 12 rooms in a Kingham pub. Meanwhile, interior designer Joanna Berryman (ex-wife to Coldplay bassist Guy Berryman) takes a more rock’n’roll attitude in these honeyed climes. The Folly (www.thefollyluxurycottage.com; from £1,780 per week, pictured) mixes upcyled furniture with deliberately incongruous objets d’art found at flea markets and New York art galleries in a four-bedroom, 16th-century house near Tetbury.
