A tech-first travel case

Jey & Em’s One Pro has a built-in power bank and USB charging cable – and a killer detachable laptop case

I suspected I’d be searching for the perfect short-trip travel case forever, but I might have found it thanks to a Swiss startup with a name like a Eurovision act, Jey&Em. I used it on numerous trips in recent months, and it makes a, erm, case for itself in significant ways. It has a built-in power bank and USB charging cable that can be popped out – vital for airport scanners – but the killer feature for me is the detachable laptop case, so before you heave the whole thing into the overhead locker, you can snap out the bit with your laptop, etc. This satellite case also has its own combination lock. Oh, and when the whole thing’s standing up, it is cleverly balanced so that not even the heaviest of laptops will make it fall over.
