12:00 Enjoy a leisurely lunch at one of the fine restaurants that line the waterfront marinas of The Pearl-Qatar.

14:30 Browse the fantastic range of top-class brands on offer at one of Doha’s superb shopping malls, perhaps the Villagio with its Venetian-themed indoor canal.

16:00 Marvel at the magnificent collections on display at the Museum of Islamic Art

18:00 Experience the lively atmosphere of Souq Waqif, pick up some bargain souvenirs and enjoy a dinner featuring Middle Eastern cuisine.

Day 2

07:00 Take a trip outside Doha, perhaps to the camel races at Al Shahaniya, 20km west of the capital, then onward to the Zikrit Peninsula, with its unspoilt beaches and spectacular wind-carved rock formations.

12:00 Head northward along the west coast to Al Zubarah, with its imposing fort and archaeological site.

17:00 After a busy day, unwind by the pool or at one of Doha’s many luxury spas.

19:00 Spend the evening at Katara Cultural Village. Take in the sights, entertainment and cultural offerings, then round off your stay with a delicious dinner of Arabic delicacies.

Day 3

07:00 Take advantage of the cool of the morning to enjoy a round of golf at Doha Golf Club, home of the European PGA Qatar Masters tournament.

If golf is not your thing, take a trip to Al Khor, 50km to north of the capital, a former pearl-diving centre, and to nearby Al Thakira, where you can get close to nature kayaking through the mangroves.

12:30 Take a dhow cruise at Doha Bay, with lunch on board, and enjoy panoramic views of the Corniche and spectacular high-rise towers.

16:30 Set off southward from Doha to Sealine Beach Resort, the starting point for a thrilling desert safari through the precipitous dunes to Khor Al Adaid, the “Inland Sea”. Enjoy the golden desert sunset, then round off the day with a Bedouin-style barbecue under the stars.
