New Year, new Jo Malone body balm

There’s consolotion for followers of a cult Jo Malone product

Recently I was dismayed to find that one of my top five beauty launches in recent years – Jo Malone Vitamin E Body Treatment Oil, £49 – has been discontinued. The luxuriously thick oil not only offered superlative moisturising qualities but smelled so good that I was hoping it would inspire a stand-alone fragrance. It was only launched last year, so its untimely demise is a mystery.

There is, however, some consolation on the horizon: next month Jo Malone is adding, by way of replacement, a new product to the cult Vitamin E range. Vitamin E Body Balm (pictured; £50 and available from mid-January) has a rich texture like cocoa butter, acts like a very concentrated moisturiser for the body and is (almost) as addictive as its predecessor. In the meantime, I’m off to scour the internet for any remaining stocks of the oil; I’ve heard that it might still be available in Australia.
