Loewe’s smart new travel bags

Highlights include a striking calfskin take on the brand’s 1940s hard case

Acclaimed designer Jonathan Anderson’s role as Loewe’s creative director is seeing the brand’s leather goods take on new verve. Out this month is the Cross suitcase (£2,695), a soft calfskin take on the brand’s 1940s hard case, with textile lining, luggage tag and Loewe-logo padlocks – striking in oxblood, marine and tan (pictured). It’s not exactly a suitcase, more a cabin-sized bag, but is ideal for a folded suit. The redesigned weekend (£2,250) and duffel bags (£1,750) are also noteworthy.
