Cifonelli’s new Paris flagship

The revered Italian tailor reopens in the city after almost 90 years

Revered bespoke tailor Cifonelli re-establishes a flagship presence in Paris next month, 89 years after it first opened in the city — and with it launches an exceptionally well-put-together ready-to-wear tailored collection under the direction of John Vizzone, former senior vice president of Ralph Lauren Purple and Black Labels. Cifonelli’s signature rope-shouldered, long and lean jackets, and wide lapels on suits (£2,050) are accompanied by more relaxed blazers (£1,800) and cigarette trousers (£380). Standout are stylish pinstripes in various colours including grey, rich blue and navy. Base colours are classic and a touch reserved, but the cut is always reliably dashing.
