Rochas’ first collection from creative director Federico Curradi features sophisticated pieces in deftly chosen fabrics: take the brand’s mossy-hued silk gabardine, which has been bleached like denim and used for a Western-style shirt (£490) with snap fastenings; an olive waxed silk with an attractive matte finish, used for a windcheater (£890); and cotton-velvet jackets (£1,750) and silk shirts (£650) with pleated plackets that can be removed.

Curradi trained as a tailor, evidenced through the collection’s expertly cut jackets, such as the fluid wool/silk jacket (£1,400) and utilitarian gabardine trousers (from £700) with matching belt. These pieces, along with the styling, give the collection a distinct military accent.
