Over the past five years, Stockholm-based indie shoe brand CQP has established itself as a go-to for pared-down style mixed with innovative and meticulous construction. To mark its anniversary, it is releasing the limited edition Jubilee sneaker, a version of its best-selling Racquet design, available in just 25 pairs from today (June 24). The shoe – priced £270 – incorporates the brand’s signature CQP dot on the side panels, inner arch support for all-day comfort and comes in an appealing blue suede with cream leather detailing. It is the perfect hot-weather casual trainer – team it with a short sleeved blue shirt and cream shorts, or wear it with swimming trunks to the beach.
“I wanted to create a confident and casual edit of what we have stood for as a brand these past years, as well as something that I wanted to wear this summer,” explains CQP founder Adam Lewenhaupt. “For me, this is a shoe that encompasses all that CQP’s products are about: a deconstructed feel, superior comfort and an elegant shape, while also adding a bit more detailing than usual, in the form of our ‘dot’ on the side. This model is also a hint of what is to come from us – we will keep focusing on creating products that intersect casual and elegant, but with a bit more laidback approach.”
CQP is fast becoming one of the most influential young footwear brands in Europe, always blurring the line between the elegant and casual. It continues to create the kind of shoes that can go anywhere, with anything. The Jubilee seasonal limited edition is the perfect celebration of everything it does best.
