For spring/summer, Giorgio Armani has created some beautiful eveningwear using cupro, a breathable fabric made from regenerated cotton fibres. It has a silky, fluid texture that drapes divinely through Armani’s long, roomy double-breasted tuxedo jacket (£1,450), which has large, low-sweeping lapels and comes in deep blue. There’s also a shawl-lapel jacket (£2,200) in black, which shows how the matte material contrasts well with satin. This combination amounts to some very special evening finery.
