Made entirely in bookbinder leather, the new London Collection from Grenson has a stoically British look. These handsome new styles (all £375) have handpainted leather linings and waists, and range from the Toynbee wing-tip brogue and straight-laced Gresham toe-cap to the Leadenhall tassel and Bartlett penny loafer. “I wanted to make a collection of classic city shoes similar to those created when founder William Green first came to London in 1866 to take orders,” says Grenson creative director and CEO Tim Little. This collection also features closed-channel soles, bevelled edges and sole nails at the toes for strength.
