I asked Slowear CEO Roberto Compagno to select his favourites from the four brands operating under his Italian umbrella company. From Incotex, it was the puppytooth trousers (£330) that go through 62 pairs of hands during construction. From Montedoro, it was a navy water-resistant travel jacket (£790) with wooden buttons. From knitwear specialist Zanone, he showed me a waterproof merino-wool crewneck (£375) and a high-twist-yarn polo shirt (£185) with a soft, slinky, yet dry handle. But we both agreed that Glanshirt’s Allan cotton overshirt (£285) in Army green was star of the show.
