I’m impressed by the first men’s collection from Studio Nicholson. Designer Nick Wakeman combines a contemporary loose-fitting aesthetic with beautiful cloths selected from exceptional mills, as seen in oversized, unstructured overcoat (£895) made with a hefty wool herringbone from Abraham Moon. Other defining pieces include wide- (very wide) wale jumbo cords (£365) in black or navy.
There are also urbane Ventile drawstring parkas (£895), collarless macs (£875), grandad-collar Italian-cotton shirts (£300) and wide, pleated cotton-drill trousers (£380). Well worth seeking out.
