Harvey Nichols is collaborating with cult Japanese retailer Beams in a smashing retro-inspired “Tokyojin” pop-up for six weeks, starting on September 1. The Buzz Rickson Okinawa reversible flight jacket (£655), for example, is a total stunner, faithfully inspired by a style that took its name from a Steve McQueen film character, while the exclusive Sun Surf Aloha printed shirts (£144) instead reference vibrant 1950s designs. And the functional tailoring that typifies the brand is seen in a grey flannel jacket (£338) and double-pleated chinos (£135), as well as across a selection of Beams Plus’s own exclusive collaborations, such as with Champion, Fennica and Arc’teryx.
