I’m not overly keen on collaborations, as often they dilute the message of both brands. But the new alliance between Sunspel and running label Iffley Road has produced genuinely refined sportswear. The polos (£90) are cut along Sunspel lines, but in Iffley’s drirelease piqué, with its fine silky feel and ability to dry four times faster than standard cottons. The Trent shorts (£95) are in quick-dry super-lightweight performance polyester, yet are cut sharp with a smart waistband and jetted pockets. But it’s the Langley tee (£75), modelled on iconic Amateur Athletic Association kit with chest hoop in contrasting jersey, that makes the most compelling style statement. The all-navy design showcases the surfaces best, while the white and grey version evokes long-distance-race grit of a century ago.
