As a runner, I admire the work of the husband and wife team behind sportswear brand Iffley Road. Unimpressed by the synthetic-feeling running kit usually on offer, they’ve developed a matte fabric with a pleasing handle. Grown-up colours give the pieces a quietly retro look but the “dri-release” microblend fabric is right up to date – soft, durable and with wicking capability. The latest range has some great pieces that are fitted without being clingy, such as a two-stripe Cambrian T-shirt (£68) and a Lancaster vest (£53). Other items that caught my eye are longer-length Hampton shorts (£65) and a damson merino-wool Thorpe top (£120).
