As reported in our Wise Guise special menswear issue in March, Dior opens its new boutique on New Bond Street this week. With its arrival comes the launch of the Demi Mesure made-to-measure tailoring service (from £2,600). Fourteen suit cuts come in a choice of 500 fabrics – predominantly black or midnight-blue wool/silk mixes, mohair and cashmere blends. Orders are created at the Dior atelier in Paris and ready in five to eight weeks, with any final tweaks taking a further week. Creative director Kris Van Assche has also designed leather accessories with elegantly subtle Union Jack-inspired detailing for the opening, including a shoulder bag (£2,800), cardholder (£380) and tie (£125).
