Those who wish to cut a dash like Mick Jagger, look as sharp as Ralph Fiennes or be as dapper as Benedict Cumberbatch can take leaf out of the style book of their tailor on April 5, at Bar20 in the City. Savile Row-trained tailor Timothy Everest, who has also created on-screen suits for Bond films including Spectre and Skyfall, is holding a one-off evening, “Tailoring: Inside-out”, at Robin Birley’s Fenchurch Street watering hole.

Everest set up his east London atelier in Spitalfields after having cut his teeth in Mayfair, and was awarded an MBE in 2010 for his services to tailoring; this year his brand celebrates its 25th anniversary.

The evening promises to be a convivial one, providing a glimpse into the rarefied tailoring world over drinks – courtesy of Hennessy. “Bar20 is a hidden gem that’s one of my favourite bars in London,” says the tailor. “My approach to tailoring and fittings has always been personal and I will be bringing this to the event, chatting to guests over a glass or two.”
