Anderson & Sheppard’s new Donegal tweeds

Perfect for wider trouser styles with generous pleats

Anderson & Sheppard’s Clifford Street haberdashery has become something of a fabric mecca – and its original purpose of offering a superb range of trousers in various styles and fits has perhaps been eclipsed. New Donegal tweeds (£425) in a rich marmalade colour woven by Scabal, or classic salt-and-pepper by the W Bill mill may help to change this. These cloths have serious clout but also a soft handle and smashing drape, which makes them particularly suited to being made up in some of the wider trouser styles with generous pleats.
