The market for home bars is getting hotter. The latest to arrive on the scene is Clos19 and DimoreStudio’s Bar Cart, a limited-edition piece designed to enhance the home with a serving of contemporary craftsmanship.
Launched just in time for the celebration season, the cart (£20,000) marks Clos19’s first collaboration with Dimore, the Milanese design studio whose portfolio includes Fendi’s Sloane Street store, Hôtel Saint-Marc Paris and Leo’s at The Arts Club. As LVMH’s online wine and spirits portal, Clos19 is no stranger to the art of hosting, and the collaboration has served to further highlight its creative influence in the world of luxury beverages.
Inspired by the masters of 1960s design – most notably Pierre Cardin and Luigi Caccia Dominioni – the cart’s design fuses elements from modern French and Italian furniture, crafted in lacquered wood with polished brass details. Efficient as it is elegant, it has a pair of revolving bases with internal shelves at either side. These wings store glassware and standing spirits, with further room for ice buckets and mixology equipment between them. Most useful, however, is the cart’s height, which has been elevated to ensure it can be used as both a bar from which to serve drinks and as storage. And should the party seek to move rooms, a set of concealed wheels can be activated for mobility. The cart can be ordered exclusively on Clos19.com.
