Dubai is not resting on its architectural laurels, and The Royal Atlantis Resort & Residences (www.knightfrank.ae; expected to start from £1.35m), a striking honeycomb stretched out along the crescent of the Palm Jumeirah, is set to become the latest local landmark. Designed by US firm Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates, the 231 apartments some of them dramatically cantilevered – will provide uninterrupted views over the ocean towards the city’s recently sculpted skyline, as well as access to an infinity pool suspended 90m above the Gulf.
