Headed up by The Connaught’s renowned director of mixology Agostino Perrone, the series will take guests on a journey through four themes, starting with the champagne cocktail (September 5) in its many guises, from the classic French 75 to the sun-kissed Bellini. The other classes will explore cognac cocktails (September 19) – including the exquisite Sazerac; gin and vodka Martinis (October 31); and the ever-expanding world of whisky cocktails (November 28), bolstered by drams from the US, Scotland and Japan.

As well as acquiring all the tips and tricks needed to mix the perfect cocktail and host the perfect party, each group of eight guests will also come away with mixological anecdotes to share at 6pm, as well as a wealth of ideas for making their own ingredients at home. Classes will take place at the Connaught Bar from 1.30pm to 3.30pm. Each class is priced at £150 per person, including a welcome glass of champagne and canapés. Cin cin.
