This year’s seasonal celebrations begin stylishly in the Big Apple at Jack’s Champagne Club – a festive pop-up open until the New Year at The St Regis New York, transforming the storied hotel’s Cognac Room into a discreet retreat created for sipping champagne, savouring canapés and revelling in holiday cheer.
The space, recently renovated by Champalimaud Design, has a club-like atmosphere shimmering in silver and gold and Christmas tree decorations that recall the bubbles of a fine cuvée. Guests can book intimate tables (from $650 for two) serviced by a “press for champagne” button and there will be exclusive tastings of Veuve Clicquot La Grande Dame, Dom Pérignon, Krug and Moët & Chandon’s MCIII.
Indulge in canapés and small bites such as caviar; roasted beet and mascarpone crostini; beef tartare garnished with quail eggs; and bite-sized smoked chicken and brie filo pastries, prepared by the haunt’s Astor Court restaurant.
For the occasion, the hotel has also partnered with silversmith Puiforcat, which is offering its Timbales à Champagne (silver champagne tumblers) as mementos, as part of the “Puiforcat Experience” package ($1,904 for two people).
