Multi-Michelin-starred chef Anne-Sophie Pic is to host a culinary pop-up at the Beau-Rivage Palace hotel in Lausanne, Switzerland on Friday August 30, as she stages her annual lakeside “garden market”. Set on the Lobby Lounge terrace, this year’s celebration of all things edible will offer a cornucopia of fresh fish and meats, vintage wines, local fruits and vegetables, artisanal cheeses and breads, honey and wildflowers.

A culinary powerhouse, Pic gained three Michelin stars at her restaurant Maison Pic – she is only the fourth female chef in history to achieve this honour – before opening her eponymous fine-dining restaurant at the five-star hotel. The chef will share her passion for local, seasonal ingredients at the event, offering visitors the chance to sample some of her favourite produce from local purveyors and enjoy a multi-course feast at her restaurant (a five-course menu is SFr210 – about £180 – per person, the six-course Emotion menu about £220 and the Summer Pic menu about £300).

Among the foodie fare at the market will be fresh fish from Lac Léman (Lake Geneva), courtesy of Pêcherie d’Ouchy; Emmental and L’Etivaz cheeses from Duttweiler Fromages; and fragrant herbal syrups from Jardin des Monts in Rossinière, as well as wines by Domaine La Colombe and vegetables from the gardens of Marché Cuendet.
