Covent Garden’s renowned temple of seafood, J Sheekey Atlantic Bar, is hosting a series of Fish Suppers throughout the year where executive head chef Andrew McLay will work with guest chefs from across the British Isles to produce a memorable three-course meal (£50).

Beginning on February 27, the first collaboration features Simon Hulstone, Michelin-starred chef-proprietor of The Elephant in Devon. As this evening falls during Skrei season, Hulstone’s sustainably sourced fillet of cod will take centre stage – in this case accompanied by smoked leeks, confit chicken wings and wild, feathery maitake mushrooms. For guests unable to attend the small affair, Hulstone’s signature dish will appear on the J Sheekey Atlantic Bar menu for several weeks.
“Given both J Sheekey Atlantic Bar and The Elephant’s commitment to, and shared passion for, serving responsibly caught fish and shellfish from sustainable sources, it made perfect sense for us to team up and collaborate on a menu,” says McLay of the pop-up. “We feel privileged to be able to work together to give the public a taste of what we offer at both of our restaurants through the creation of a special one-off dinner and a limited-time dish."
