Georg Jensen vintage pitcher

Bid on this original 1920s “radical” creation by Johan Rohde

Georg Jensen’s partnerships with artists date back to the opening of the marque’s original Copenhagen silversmithy in 1904. This elegant sterling-silver pitcher with ebony handle was designed by Danish artist Johan Rohde in 1920, but was deemed too radical, and so production was delayed until 1925. Now its fluid, seductive lines are ready to bewitch a new owner.

How To Spend It is auctioning this pitcher in aid of Save the Children in an online sale hosted by Christie’s – now live and ending on Thursday December 11. Bidding starts from £3,000 at For more information, visit our How To Give It page.
